Teacher Learning Communities

Teacher Learning Communities empower teachers to improve their own practice but they can be undermined by a number of practical constraints, such as time, cost and geographical restrictions.

IRIS Connect is designed to make Teacher Learning Communities work in the real world. By allowing time shifted lesson observations, deep insight and group based video sharing teachers can quickly and easily collaborate in a mutually beneficial way.

Only IRIS Connect allows teachers to collaborate over distance based on need. Our model leverages the latest talent already within the education system and allows head teachers to use the greatest resource available to them, the skills knowledge and experience of teachers in the schools network.

One of the things that Iris Connects helps us to do with CPD is to keep our activities in house, with our own experts helping each other - Sally Turner, Deputy Head, Loxford School of Science &Technology

Read our latest article 'Discover Teacher Learning Communities Online' to see the enabling aspects of cloud based technology that supports teachers directly and where it matters the most - in the classroom.
