Based on years of research, IRIS Connect has been offering a cutting edge solution to allow contextualised and experiential learning for teachers in schools, but colleagues in Primaries and Initial Teacher Training institues urged us to adapt the technology to meet their specific needs.

• Capture, View & Share Lessons Easily

Teachers are now able to capture, view and share their lessons anytime and importantly at any location. The simple to use pocket camera enables teachers to 'see what others see' and truly understand and reflect on their own teaching practice positively informing their professional development.

• Easy To Use

The Discovery Kit is designed for on demand use and post lesson reflections. Once a lesson is recorded the simple upload functionality within the online software takes care of the rest. It will upload the video, store it in the teachers online personal library and send an email when it is ready for viewing. Once stored in the online personal libraries teachers can choose to annotate the video with reflective time linked comments, utilise the available observational tools to gather statistical data or share with colleagues or into whole school libraries for others to benefit creating immediate communities of practice.

• The ability to collaborate with other IRIS Connect schools and create a community of practice without geographical boundaries

A key benefit of the hardware is that it is ultra mobile and doesn’t require a network connection to use. Perfect for individuals who may deliver lessons in different locations, or capture recordings in and around a school where network points are unavailable.
